Advanced Bash Scripting Guide
Shamelessly blatant self-promotion.
Credentials include game and file encryption software (including a fairly feature-complete version of Perquaqckey in a 12kb shell script), publication of a file security program in ELECTRONIC DESIGN, inclusion in the C USERS GROUP collection, and writing both the Advanced Bash Scripting Guide * and the Software Building HOWTO ** for the Linux Documentation Project. The Bureau of Export Administration and the National Security Agency considered his cruft encryption utility too dangerous for export (which is why it was not available for distribution for over a year). His article, "Adding a Second IDE Hard Drive", appeared in the March, 1999 issue of the Linux Gazette. His Soundex script appeared in the July, 2002 issue of Unix Review, and an introduction to sed scripting appeared in the June, 2003 issue. In matters of system security, he has been certified as ultraparanoid by Laura Wonnacott of Infoworld in her August 16, 1999 Test Center Rx column.
